Good post by +Martin Weller on how the publishing industry is handling open access so as to revert it back to business as usual. I'd have to say I mostly agree with Stephen Downes's statement referred to in the post: "as soon as any form of commercial enterprise touches education it ruins it". The same is happening with Coursera's interpretation of MOOCs.

In my digital scholarship, I make two pleas, the first is for open access publishing, and the second is for scholars to own the process of change. I’ve never been great at a rousing finish, but the book ends thus:
